Pub Crawl Budapest Recognised By Tripadvisor

Pub Crawl Budapest, a Budapest based company that offers pub crawls across the historic Hungarian city, recently received a certificate of excellence on Tripadvisor, a site aimed at helping travellers make informed choices regarding their upcoming trips. The ruin bar tour offers tourists the opportunity to visit and explore all of the most well-known ruin bars in Budapest, spending one evening partying with the locals at multiple venues across the city.

The tour is run by a group of Budapest natives who grew up in the city and have seen how the city’s nightlife has grown and evolved over the years. The city is known for the incredible nightlife it has to offer both visitors and locals. It has dozens of world class bars that attract thousands of people from all over the world every year, and its ruin bars are especially well known around the world. They are the destination of thousands of visitors to the city.

Ruin Bars are bars that are built inside ageing buildings, and each one offers a unique historical and cultural experience compared to ordinary bars. The blend of modern nightlife and ancient architecture offers an interesting and fun night out for anyone looking for a new way to spend a night out on the town. “These are bars in ruin but set in elegant Monarch era buildings,” says Pub Crawl Budapest. “Instead of being renovated and made into high-quality pubs, they keep their run-down exterior. They are usually furnished with old communist era artefacts and are filled with that eccentric hipster aesthetic. You can find them all over the 7th district and you can visit many of these bars through our Budapest Pub Crawl.”

The Budapest pub crawl through the ruin bars has been positively reviewed by many attendees. The TripAdvisor certificate they recently received is given to establishments that regularly get great reviews from travellers. Currently, the pub crawl has been reviewed over six hundred times on Tripadvisor, with the vast majority of the reviews being from happy clients.

“I recommend this trip as it was well organised. The guides kept everyone together, and you could join in the games but you weren’t put under pressure. The Ruin bars were something totally different to what I’ve ever seen. It was a Saturday night and extremely busy but it all added to the atmosphere,” says one Trip Advisor review.

Another attendee calls the pub crawl the greatest night of their life, stating, “I’ve never had so much fun in my life. Johnny is the best tour guide I ever had. He made the entire night a lot of fun. The bars were a lot of fun and so was our entire group.”

The tour consists of four pubs in the downtown area of the city. “The pubs are within walking distance, and we selected them carefully so that you get the best of everything that Budapest has to offer! Among others, we'll show you the famous, unique ruin bars and introduce you to the crazy local nightlife,” says Pub Crawl Budapest.

Most nights with Pub Crawl Budapest end at the Ellatohaz Ruin Bar, a bar known for its incredibly warm and welcoming environment along with the pleasant crowd it attracts. The bar has been featured in many of Pub Crawl Budapest’s tours over the years, and it has come to be loved by bar enthusiasts from around the world who have had the pleasure of visiting.

There have been great reviews of the tour on various other platforms as well, with Google Maps having a large number of excellent reviews from pleased tourists. “Shairil and Aleksandra were very understanding and very helpful,” says one review. “The girls gave us tips and tricks to make the most of our time in each bar. Overall, outstanding experience and definitely recommended to people who want to see the ruin bars.”

Another review on the same platform reads, “Khan, Shairil, Lisa and Utku are awesome. Loved how they encouraged people to do the shirt challenge that [had us interacting] with people. Some activities are kind of difficult to do, like beer pong and flip cup without tables. Good time. Meeting point was pretty far from our first bar, and we waited for a good while before departing.”
